Why? (Album Review)

The album, Why? by Yung Oldie is quite an interesting album. The EP’s first track starts with voicemails for Kyle A.K.A Yung Oldie about how awesome he is. For those of you who do not know, Yung Oldie is a rapper from River Falls, Wisconsin or better known as the Dirty RF. He has been rapping since the end of his junior year in high school. At the end of August he was able to release a 7 track EP. From his catchy song, “Broke $tunin” to the rap about the movie Surf’s Up creatively titled, “$urf’s Up”, that’s really all he has good on this album.

Granted he has accomplished quite a feat in my opinion for what he has to work with. From my research, he has made this album entirely homemade, but his mixing could have been better. On the track, “Motel Trapping”, he turns the bass all the way up along with his voice. You can’t even hear the piano riff the longer the song goes on. I give this EP a 4/10, but I think you should support this guy. He has potential, so follow him on Instagram or Twitter.
